I wanted to follow up on my Google review and personally express my gratitude for the outstanding experience we had at JETex today. From the moment we arrived, we felt so warmly welcomed by your team. Even though there was a brief delay due to the simulator needing a reboot from the previous session we didn’t mind at all—your staff and our Instructor, Peter, were an absolute delight to interact with. Their professionalism and friendly manner truly made the experience even more enjoyable.
We also loved being able to explore and learn about the motorcycle history displayed in the room—it was such a fantastic bonus! This experience was a gift for my 11-year-old son, who dreams of becoming a commercial pilot one day. Peter was absolutely incredible—his clear and engaging explanations made everything easy to understand, which was perfect for us. I wasn’t even the pilot this time, and I still had an amazing time! Next time, it’s definitely my turn to take the controls. Thank you so much for creating such a memorable experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The whole experience was great! Dad had an amazing time - the instructor, Graeme, was sooooo incredibly welcoming and friendly and really made the whole experience. What a great time! It made us so happy to see our dad (a usually quiet gentleman) have a good time.

It's 5's all round for me! I had an awesome time, I've told so many people about it already. I'm keen to give it another go next time I'm up in Christchurch! Ian was awesome, he was really good at explaining everything, I find all the little bits and pieces really interesting.

A great afternoon! Andy made me feel as though I was flying the plane. Must admit he did have control the whole time and he rescued us on the landing, but all things considered not bad for a first attempt. Had a great time and it was a privilege to meet the man behind the operation. The museum while you wait is also a great attraction and experience. Every waiting room should have something like it. Still buzzing!!

This was the most incredible experience flying the Boeing 737 Simulator. The instructor was very professional and helpful. We had a great chat afterwards. Another highlight was meeting Mike Pero himself and what a gentleman. The overall experience was amazing. You could feel the passion between these two gents for aviation and especially Mike's passion for motorcycles with his Motorcyle Gallery also at the Jetex premises. Thank you for the warm welcome.

This was my fourth visit, and they get better each time. This time, it wasn’t only about the flying, it was also Captain’s Question Time. I took the opportunity to ask Peter some background questions to satisfy my curiosity, and I also had him demonstrate a circuit and ILS approach, during which he experienced the same issues I had encountered.
We flew from Nice to Geneva. A nice short flight.

I bought this for my sons 9th birthday gift and it was fantastic! He absolutely loved it - it was a complete highlight. Hans the instructor was calm, informative and knew exactly how to instruct a younger pilot! My son is still buzzing. Highly recommend for all ages!

JETex is an absolute hidden gem for anyone passionate about aviation, and it exceeded all expectations during our recent visit! I took my 10-year-old son, who is completely obsessed with planes, and from the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with excitement and enthusiasm.
The staff at JETex were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. They made sure to engage with my son right away. It was clear they are true experts who love what they do, and their energy made the experience so much better for both of us.
The real highlight of our visit was when my son got to fly a 737 in one of their state-of-the-art simulators. The look on his face as he took the controls was priceless! The simulator was so realistic—it felt like he was actually piloting a real 737. The staff gave him guidance on how to take off and navigate, making the experience interactive and educational. He hasn’t stopped talking about how he “flew a 737” since we left!
What made this experience special was how much he learned while having fun. The team explained the basics of flight, shared some cool facts about aviation, and even talked about real-world piloting. It was both thrilling and informative, and I could see my son’s fascination with planes grow even more.
The setup at JETex is fantastic—everything is designed to immerse you in the world of aviation. From the realistic simulators to the detailed models of aircraft, it felt like we were getting a glimpse into the life of a pilot. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a fun and unique experience, JETex has something for everyone.
We left with huge smiles on our faces, and my son can’t wait to go back and take another ‘flight.’ If you or your kids love planes, this place is an absolute must-visit! Highly recommend JETex for a fun, educational, and memorable day out.

Jetex Flight Simulator gave my son and me an unforgettable experience during our 90-minute flight. The simulator was incredibly realistic, which made it feel like we were really flying. Our instructor was fantastic, ensuring that all of our requests were met and guiding us through the entire experience.
For the time we spent, it was amazing value, and this was something we’ve always dreamed of doing together. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, everyone at Jetex was welcoming and friendly.

Great experience for my son & I. The visit was really for my son. Your pilot did a great job in keeping it simple for him and not putting him into an “information overload” situation, so he had a great experience.
Your whole team worked at making it a welcoming atmosphere. We will probably come again, as I missed my turn in the front seat. We will need at least 3 hours next time.
I will absolutely be back!

My 10 year old grandson and I flew the JETex B737-800 simulator this past weekend. We were most impressed with the entire process… the online reservation system was easy with email reminders. Check-in was very professional - our IP Peter H. was very helpful and knowledgeable - the simulator was very impressive and responded just like the real aircraft (I have over 25 years experience in multi-engine aircraft and I think I can reliably vouch for this). I look forward to another session in this simulator.
Hugely enjoyable and a taster for a future career in Aviation

Hi Mike and team - my two granddaughters from Wellington participated in two separate 1 hour sessions. We and their parents were able to observe them throughout both sessions. They both found it hugely enjoyable and felt confident that they had achieved an initial but good understanding of what it takes to fly a Boeing aircraft, thanks to Ian who patiently and expertly tutored them. The grandchildren have talked about little else since and their parents were impressed with the whole process and grateful that the girls were afforded this great opportunity and perhaps a taster for a future career in Aviation. In terms of rating a definite top score of 5 for all facets of the opportunity, facility. Tutoring and the warm welcome and positive atmosphere afforded to all visitors and participants. Job well done and will have no hesitation in recommending to friends and colleagues.

My brother has always wanted to travel to Egypt to see the pyramids. And unless I win lotto it’ll never happen. But his pilot Hans took off from Cairo and took us over and around several pyramids. Just fabulous. We have a very happy Chappy. Lots of photos. Then on to London. We can thoroughly recommend this experience.

I gave my partner a voucher for this last year and she then gave me one. I did my "flight" on Sunday, 10th December and it was absolutely brilliant. I can see why it rates so highly. It is a must-do when in Christchurch.
We took off from Queenstown and went down over Glenorchy then returned and landed back at Qtown. In real life, I've flown in and out of Qtown airport many times but only as a passenger.
We then took off from JFK (New York) and flew over Manhattan and the Tower of Liberty and landed back at Newark airport also NYC.

I really enjoyed my flight. The realism of the simulation is great. Allan the instructor assisted awesomely. If you haven't had a go at this its a must do when in Christchurch. As a bonus you get entry into the motorcycle museum as well.
