Hi I’m Mike Pero
Welcome to Jetex Flight Simulator!
I’m the founder of Jetex, previously known as Flight Experience. I was one of the three founders of Pacific Simulators (Pacsim), that built these simulators. I was an airline pilot but left the industry in the early 1990s. To this day I have remained an aviation enthusiast. I’m also a proud Boeing fan. Today, in my semi-retirement I keep my hand in flying as part of the team.
Our team is predominantly comprised of former airline pilots who give up their spare time and enjoy sharing their knowledge, expertise and stories with those unfamiliar with aircraft and the industry. We dedicate a portion of our business to mentoring aspiring airline pilots, facilitating their transition from propeller-type aircraft to jet aircraft.
This simulator has been flown by thousands of pilots and enthusiasts since the late 2000s. Our customers range from 9 to 90 years and it makes no difference whether you’ve never flown a plane or whether you’re down-training (as a Captain) from an Airbus A380 you’re still special to us.

Jetex Flight Simulator gave my son and me an unforgettable experience during our 90-minute flight. The simulator was incredibly realistic, which made it feel like we were really flying. Our instructor was fantastic, ensuring that all of our requests were met and guiding us through the entire experience.
For the time we spent, it was amazing value, and this was something we’ve always dreamed of doing together. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, everyone at Jetex was welcoming and friendly.

Great experience for my son & I. The visit was really for my son. Your pilot did a great job in keeping it simple for him and not putting him into an “information overload” situation, so he had a great experience.
Your whole team worked at making it a welcoming atmosphere. We will probably come again, as I missed my turn in the front seat. We will need at least 3 hours next time.

My 10 year old grandson and I flew the JETex B737-800 simulator this past weekend. We were most impressed with the entire process… the online reservation system was easy with email reminders. Check-in was very professional - our IP Peter H. was very helpful and knowledgeable - the simulator was very impressive and responded just like the real aircraft (I have over 25 years experience in multi-engine aircraft and I think I can reliably vouch for this). I look forward to another session in this simulator.
Hugely enjoyable and a taster for a future career in Aviation

Hi Mike and team - my two granddaughters from Wellington participated in two separate 1 hour sessions. We and their parents were able to observe them throughout both sessions. They both found it hugely enjoyable and felt confident that they had achieved an initial but good understanding of what it takes to fly a Boeing aircraft, thanks to Ian who patiently and expertly tutored them. The grandchildren have talked about little else since and their parents were impressed with the whole process and grateful that the girls were afforded this great opportunity and perhaps a taster for a future career in Aviation. In terms of rating a definite top score of 5 for all facets of the opportunity, facility. Tutoring and the warm welcome and positive atmosphere afforded to all visitors and participants. Job well done and will have no hesitation in recommending to friends and colleagues.

Visiting Egypt and the pyramids

My brother has always wanted to travel to Egypt to see the pyramids. And unless I win lotto it’ll never happen. But his pilot Hans took off from Cairo and took us over and around several pyramids. Just fabulous. We have a very happy Chappy. Lots of photos. Then on to London. We can thoroughly recommend this experience.

I gave my partner a voucher for this last year and she then gave me one. I did my "flight" on Sunday, 10th December and it was absolutely brilliant. I can see why it rates so highly. It is a must-do when in Christchurch.
We took off from Queenstown and went down over Glenorchy then returned and landed back at Qtown. In real life, I've flown in and out of Qtown airport many times but only as a passenger.
We then took off from JFK (New York) and flew over Manhattan and the Tower of Liberty and landed back at Newark airport also NYC.

I really enjoyed my flight. The realism of the simulation is great. Allan the instructor assisted awesomely. If you haven't had a go at this its a must do when in Christchurch. As a bonus you get entry into the motorcycle museum as well.
